Jacqui McElroy Named a Finalist for ATHENA Leadership Award

S.C. Swiderski is excited to share that Jacqui McElroy has been named a finalist for the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce 2022 ATHENA Leadership Award. The ATHENA Leadership Award Program recognizes and celebrates individuals who support, honor, and develop current and emerging women leaders.  

Jacqui joined the company in 2016 as Marketing Manager and had progressively increased her responsibilities to include real estate and development. She was promoted to Business Development Manager in 2019. “Jacqui has been a key part of our success with her endless drive for process improvements and vision for the future of the company,” said Nathanael Popp, COO of S.C. Swiderski. “I look forward to reaching new levels of success with her increased involvement in company planning,” he explained.   

Jacqui’s current role of Director of Business Development allows her to drive the company’s significant growth and new initiatives. She is responsible for identifying and implementing strategies and processes to support these expansions. She manages the research, marketing, real estate and development departments. In the last few years, the company has added two divisions of the company – SCS Real Estate and S.C. Swiderski Homes – and has expanded design capabilities to grow their building portfolio.  

The company has officially broke ground on its largest project to date, SCS Eau Claire, as well as a record number of construction projects this year. Jacqui plays a key role in the company’s success and is excited to reach new heights as the company continues to grow.

I work with many talented women, and it is rewarding to see them get promoted and expand their roles,” said Jacqui. She continued, “I am honored to be recognized with the other incredible women for this award and am proud of the work the finalists are doing to elevate women in leadership.” 

S.C. Swiderski Hosts SCS Eau Claire Groundbreaking Ceremony

S.C. Swiderski held a groundbreaking ceremony for our SCS Eau Claire apartment homes on September 29th. We were joined by many partners on the project including Terry W. from the City of Eau Claire - Government, Jeff S. from Advanced Engineering Concepts, Brooke P. and other members of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce, Daren P. and Kevin I. from Peoples State Bank, as well as other partners on the project and many city and community members.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy some snacks and drinks provided by S.C. Swiderski. We were joined by The Batters Box Food Truck as a lunch option.

SCS Eau Claire features 532 market rate apartment homes with over 30 different floor plans ranging from 702 to 1700 sq. ft. for tenants to choose from. On the site, there will be 52 multi-family buildings total using 7 different building styles. Each unit comes with an attached or detached garage included with the apartment. All apartments have either a patio space or balcony. All apartments include heat, water, sewer, cable, Wi-Fi, trash, lawn care and snow removal in the rent rates. SCS Eau Claire is in a convenient location and easily accessible to the community. The apartments also have on-site management who is ready to respond to the needs of the tenants.

S.C. Swiderski is excited to become a part of the Eau Claire community. We will provide a variety of maintenance-free housing options at a wide range of price points adding much needed housing in the area. S.C. Swiderski will work with local subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers on this project as well as utilizing local suppliers and lenders whenever possible. S.C. Swiderski promises to be an active member of the Eau Claire community for the long-term by adding property management jobs on-site and contributing to local charitable organizations through our CAS Committee.

S.C. Swiderski Hosts SCS Sunset Estates Groundbreaking Ceremony

S.C. Swiderski hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for our SCS Sunset Estates apartment homes on September 22th. We were joined by special guests Mayor David Ward, City Administrator Josh Vanlieshout, Cameryn Ehlers-Kwaterski from Destination Sturgeon Bay, John Kramper from One Community Bank, School Board President Mike Stephani, Paul Phillips from JSD Professional Services, as well as other community members and partners on the project.

S.C. Swiderski is the developer and will own and manage the project which features 26 market rate apartment homes with 6 different floor plans ranging from 1,049 to 1,360 sq. ft. On the site, there will be 4 multi-family buildings total using 2 different building styles. Each apartment home comes with an attached garage, private laundry, and either a patio or balcony. SCS Sunset Estates includes heat, water, sewer, cable, Wi-Fi, trash, lawn care, and snow removal in the rent rates. Cats and dogs under 50 pounds are welcome! SCS Sunset Estates is in a convenient location and easily accessible to the community. There will also be an on-site management who is ready to respond quickly to the needs of the residents.

During the ceremony, a $1,000 donation was made to the nonprofit organization, Operation Not Alone in celebration of the S.C. Swiderski’s 30th anniversary. In total, $30,000 will be donated this year to non-profits across S.C. Swiderski’s apartment locations. Operation Not Alone was chosen by S.C. Swiderski employees to receive the donation for their Sturgeon Bay location. Susan Fochs, founder and CEO of Operation Not Alone was present to accept the donation. Following the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy some snacks and drinks provided by S.C. Swiderski.
