Community | Action | Service
The S.C. Swiderski (SCS) CAS committee is a volunteer employee group dedicated to showing our passion for providing housing that strengthens community by giving back to the communities we serve. Our commitment to social responsibility and community engagement drives what we do. Giving back to the community is not just a responsibility; it's a way of life for SCS employees. We believe that strong communities are built by active participation and mutual support. Our CAS committee embodies this belief by consistently seeking ways to contribute positively to the areas we serve.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster a sense of belonging, service, and support for the communities we serve and our employees. Through Community, Action, and Service, we aim to make a positive impact and contribute to the overall well-being of our neighbors.
Community Service
SCS is proudly participating in the Ghidorzi Green and Clean for the 7th year!
Everyone is invited to join us on Saturday, April 26 for Wausau’s annual cleanup to free our beautiful landscape of litter and debris. The event, which has removed 40.42 TONS of trash to date, is a productive way for SCS to celebrate Earth Day and engage in a healthy outdoor activity to support our community.
Donation Drives
Donation drives are an integral part of our efforts to support those in need. SCS is collecting donations for The Neighbors Place new collection initiative for baby needs, The Babies Place. The CAS committee is collecting from March 31 to April 11 at our corporate office. We are hoping for a successful donation drive.
Fundraising Events
Fundraising events are another way we show our support for important causes. The CAS committee partnered with McLit, the Marathon County Literacy Council in February. We collected gently used books from our employees to resell to our employees, raising money to donate to McLit. We raised almost $400 to donate through the sale of 61 books. We were also able to donate 30 children’s books to McLit’s library.

“You were really fun to work with and were an amazing teacher.”
“Involvement in SC Swiderski’s CAS (Community, Action, Service) Committee has provided me with leadership and professional skills used to lead our Company in volunteering initiatives throughout the local communities. Our continued support with United Way, Junior Achievement, Ghidorzi Green & Clean, Kronenwetter Fire Department, Acorn Hill Senior and Assisted Living Center and Crossroad K9 Rescue, to name a few, has opened opportunities for me beyond my expectations. Giving back to those in need is something I strive to do each day. I look forward to volunteering with my co-workers and sharing the enjoyment of giving back.”
“For the past six weeks I have learned a lot of useful information, but it was fun learning it, not boring!”
