S.C. Swiderski hosted the ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony for our multifamily project Blue Stone Estates Phase II on July 28, 2022. This addition to our existing Blue Stone Estates apartment homes will bring more housing options to the Marathon City community. We were joined by many partners at the event who help make this project possible including Ken Lassa from REI Engineering, Andy Kurtz and David Belanger from the Village of Marathon City, Brad Foltz from Paper City Savings, PJ Childers from Crossbridge Bank as well as many other community members.
During the ceremony, Andy Kurtz explained how this project will benefit the Marathon City community. Jacqui McElroy, Director of Business Development for S.C. Swiderski explained the project is a second phase at this location off of Maratech Avenue and Blue Stone Lane. The company will be adding 30 apartment homes with 10 different floor plan options starting at 702 sq ft to 1244 sq ft. The section north of the existing apartment buildings section will have 2 buildings with a total of 14 apartment homes featuring 2 townhome buildings: The Huntington 8-unit buildings offers four different 2-bedroom floor plans with an attached garage. The 6-unit Bedford building provides 2 and 3 bedrooms and offers single-level townhome style apartments with a 2 car attached garages.
The section to the south of the current building will contain a 16-unit Fulton building which has one- and three-bedroom options. The buildings were chosen from S.C. Swiderski’s portfolio to create a multi-generational community with a wide range of options for new tenants.
All apartments include private entrances, luxury vinyl plank flooring, a full appliance package, and modern finishes. In addition to snow removal, trash removal, and lawn care – the monthly rent includes heat, water, cable tv and high-speed internet.
The new buildings will open in early summer 2023. Interested parties can contact the S.C. Swiderski Property Management Team to be added to the official apartment Interest List.
“We are grateful for the support of the Village of Marathon City in this project. Our first phase is fully occupied so we are happy to bring more quality housing to help meet the demand in the area,” said Jacqui McElroy.
In celebration of our 30th anniversary this year, SCS employees selected the non-profit organization, New Life Pet Adoption Center to receive a $1000 donation as part of the 30k giveaway that we are donating to local non-profit organizations throughout the state of Wisconsin. During the ceremony, Lona Abel and Karla Sathre accepted the donation on behalf of the organization and explained how the donation will help give animals in their shelter the much needed everyday care that they need.
S.C. Swiderski is excited to expand their reach in the Marathon City community. We will provide a variety of maintenance-free housing options adding much needed housing in the area. S.C. Swiderski will work with local subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers on this project as well as utilizing local suppliers and lenders whenever possible. We promise to be an active member of the Marathon City community for the long-term by adding property management jobs on-site and contributing to local charitable organizations through their CAS Committee.
