Thank you to our wonderful subcontractors, tenants and staff for making 2019 a great year!
Made in Wisconsin
What does it mean to be made in Wisconsin? Outside of the State of Wisconsin, some of the associations with our state include: beer, cheese, winter, and the Packers. Wisconsin is that and so much more!
Wisconsin is hard-working. We are proud. We are unique. Wisconsin is full of original thinkers. We’re independent, trustworthy, and innovative.
SC Swiderski shares all of these qualities with our glorious state. All of S.C. Swiderski’s apartment buildings are carefully designed by our in-house design team. Our apartments are built by people in Wisconsin using local labor and locally sourced materials when available. Our completed buildings are managed by our local property management team, providing Wisconsin quality and service every step of the way.
What better way to showcase our state pride than to become officially certified as a Made in Wisconsin company! We’ll be using the Made in Wisconsin, Designed in Wisconsin, and Built in Wisconsin logos on our future products and marketing materials. This mantra is a perfect fit for S.C. Swiderski, LLC because we’re a dedicated local company creating quality housing for Wisconsin people.
SCS Explorer’s Blog
S.C. Swiderski has embarked on a partnership with Samoset Council, B.S.A. to help young people decide on their future careers. We’re providing an opportunity for seven area high school students to explore what it is we do here at SCS via a monthly program designed specifically around their interests.
At our initial Orientation meeting on November 5th we had the pleasure of getting to know the students to determine what areas of the company they would like to learn more about. Each student filled out a questionnaire selecting the topics they’re most interested in. All seven of these bright-minded individuals indicated their eagerness to learn about nearly every aspect of our company – Business Development, Marketing, Graphic Design, Architecture, Property Management, Maintenance, Real Estate and Project Management! This program will incorporate a hands-on approach to learning by taking the students to walk land, visiting a construction site and allowing them to design a site plan, just to name a few. For the Grand Finale we’ll be hosting a Graduation ceremony for the students and their parents on May 5th at Urban West!
December 3rd was our first Explorers meeting where we delved into the world of Business Development. The students learned how we assess cities and their housing needs by analyzing vacancy rates, rent rates, and populations. They also learned about the leasing side of Business Development and how much research and networking goes into attracting potential renters, as well as how we maintain those relationships.
A special thank you the SCS employees from each of these departments who are willing to take the time to engage these students and show them what a typical day is like in their respective fields. Maybe one of these go-getters will be working for S.C. Swiderski someday!
