S.C. Swiderski Forms Committee for Community, Action and Service (CAS)
S.C. Swiderski announces the formation of a committee for Community, Action and Service (CAS). The 2018 committee is Amber Anderson, Carrie Slater, Lori Minnihan, Kari Kussow, Josh Sommerfeldt, Jacqui Miller, Ali Montalbano, Kim Dennee, Bob Eberhardy and Elizabeth DeGroot. The group is an employee led initiative to organize volunteering, community outreach and activities for the company. “Many of our employees are already doing great work in the community. We formed the group to coordinate these efforts so we can have greater impact. We also hope to make it easier for employees to learn about opportunities and get involved,” explained Jacqui Miller.
The group is currently working on fund-raising for the United We Can Event at CommUnity Fest. Josh Sommerfeldt designed a sculpture that will be built out of non-perishable goods; the group will collect the food and host a booth to display the work at CommUnity Fest. The food will then be distributed to area food pantries. Amber Anderson is leading the group for this event; she said, “We have monthly activities planned leading up to CommUnity Fest that the whole company can participate in. I am pleased with the support and enthusiasm for this great cause.” The February event is a bake sale on February 14.
S.C. Swiderski is proud of their employees and the work they do in the community. Thank you to the volunteers on the 2018 CAS Committee.
First Building in Phase II at Moon Lake Estates Opens
We are happy to announce that we opened the first building of Phase II of Moon Lake Estates in Rice Lake, WI. This phase includes 100 new apartment homes in seven two-story buildings. Project Manager for the site is Chris Karch, Site Superintendent is Sarah Fischer-Uttecht and Becky Hensel is Project Coordinator.
Becky Hensel said, “We are very excited to be opening the first building in the second phase of the Moon Lake Estates development. It has been a pleasure to work with such a great team of subcontractors and company personnel as we continue to provide more quality housing opportunities for the City of Rice Lake.”
Leigha Larson, the on-site leasing manager explained, “The first building has sixteen apartment homes which are one and two bedrooms floorplans with 958 to 1320 square feet. There is strong demand for these spacious floorplans. The next building scheduled to open later this spring will offer two and three bedroom apartment homes.”
SC Swiderski will retain ownership of the apartments; the Property Management Division of the company will provide professional leasing, maintenance and grounds keeping. As part of the company’s commitment to providing a great experience for their tenants, the site has a dedicated leasing manager and full service maintenance technician. The apartments feature private entrances, in unit washers and dryers, and large closets; a garage stall, heat and water are included in the rent.
S.C. Swiderski remains focused on the tenant experience by making improvements to its building design and finishes. Recent upgrades in Phase II include the use of full blown insulation between floors for better sound dampening and installation of higher quality cabinets. The construction and design team recently completed sound testing at this location to determine the best flooring options.
