November Star Spotlight

The November Star Spotlight is Don Braun. Don is a Leasing Manager/Maintenance Technician at SCS Sturgeon Bay. He is also assisting with construction of the site. Don was nominated by his peers for going above and beyond his duties. Here are some of the comments about Don.

Don started here a short time ago as the site manager of Sturgeon Bay. He has offered to help out in construction until his leasing and maintenance role become full time. In just a few short weeks, Don has jumped in and helped out with anything he has been asked to do, from sweeping, picking up garbage to puttying door jambs and cleaning behind appliances before install. Don has been a huge help here in Sturgeon Bay.

Don is always willing to help out and goes above and beyond expectations. He offered to tour someone from the Oshkosh planning department on a weekend. Not only did Don accommodate the tour, he took the time to explain all of the features of our buildings and was able to overcome some of the person’s objections to our plans. Don also went a step further and provided market information on Oshkosh multifamily projects that was very helpful to me. Don also did a lot of legwork for the grand opening event at his site by extending invitations and arranging for the food.

Don has been amazing as our new site manager of Sturgeon Bay. We held a grand opening a few months ago and made the process so much easier. You can truly tell he really enjoys his job and has great pride in his site. When asked he is always willing to help out and make the most of his efforts to get the units filled or to get the word out about our property.

Groundbreaking for Village Estates

S.C. Swiderski and the Mosinee Chamber of Commerce hosted a ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction at Village Estates in Kronenwetter, Wisconsin on November 12, 2018. In attendance were staff from the Village of Kronenwetter, representatives from Abby Bank, County Land & Title, and several vendor, subcontractors and suppliers. Randy Fifrick welcomed the group and explained that the Village is excited for this project that may be a catalyst for further development in this key location.

S.C Swiderski had staff from all areas of their business including design, project management, construction and property management. Real Estate and Marketing Manager, Jacqui Miller, thanked S.C. Swiderski owners for their vision for the company and commitment to investing in the community. She continued to recognize the talented people that have helped at every step of the process including the staff at the Village, support of the Chamber and the many companies involved in the project.

Kari Kussow, Leasing Manager, explained that the site will have forty units of luxury apartment housing in four and eight unit buildings with attached garages. Finishes include stainless steel appliances, luxury plank flooring and granite countertops. The Property Management Division will lease and maintain the property; Kari noted the location is great for tenants and is convenient for her team because it is between the corporate office for the leasing staff and the warehouse for the maintenance team.

The event included a ceremonial dig and white ribbon cutting. Food was provided by Wittenberg Hula Hut. Construction will start soon on this site depending on the weather. Updates can be found at scswiderski.com
