Community giving through donations of time, talent and money by our employees has been growing. Recently, S.C. Swiderski employees participated in several activities to make a difference in our community.
Instead of the Secret Santa gift exchange traditionally held by the office staff, employees chose to Adopt-A-Family through the Salvation Army and support the Humane Society of Marathon County this year. This employee led initiative included collecting donations, shopping, wrapping and delivering gifts for these two organizations.
Alex Eades coordinated the effort. “It is really rewarding to be able to help a family and animals in need right in our community. Christmas is always more about giving for me than receiving. I am happy others in the office feel the same way.”
Amber Anderson and Carrie Slater donated their time to wrap presents at the mall to support Bundles of Joy through the United Way. Jacqui Miller served on a committee for the Aspirus Health Foundation Festival of Trees which was able to raise over $200,000 for the hospice care for those in need.
In addition to these efforts around the Christmas holiday, S.C. Swiderski employees are active throughout the year with many different initiatives. We will feature their work throughout the year on our blog in a series of posts entitled We Care.
